Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

"Helping you find your way"

Welcome

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NC #4282) with a Masters of Education in Community Agency Counseling from North Carolina State University. I have been in private practice for 20 years.  I have more than 25 years of experience in human services, including working at agencies serving people with developmental disabilities, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and working as a staff counselor at NC State University’s Counseling Center.

I offer both short and long-term therapy and use a confidential, practical, and positive approach with adults dealing with issues such as:

  • Feeling stressed and overwhelmed
  • Life transitions and changes
  • Relationship issues, including issues with domestic violence and/or abuse
  • Finding perspective
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Sexual assault

I believe that the relationship we build is crucial, especially the elements of mutual respect, cooperation, and confidentiality.  As our relationship develops, we will work together to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and to empower you to think and communicate more clearly your wants, needs and expectations.
